Class Breeders, World Class Puppies ProgramSM
Benefits of Membership

The ShilohZone World Class
Breeders—World Class Puppies Program is NOT a registry and is NOT
aligned with any Shiloh Shepherd registry. Breeders from any Shiloh
Shepherd registry or registries such as ARBA or NKC that recognize
Shiloh Shepherds are welcome as long as they qualify for membership in
the ShilohZone list and the ShilohZone Hobby Breeders list and are
willing to follow the philosophy and procedures outlined. Breeders are
responsible for meeting the requirements as set forth by their
individual registries with regards to registering dogs and litters.
In return for emulating the ShilohZone
World Class Breeders—World Class
Puppies Bill of Rights, Breeders in the
program enjoy:
·
The camaraderie and
support of breeders who share a similar philosophy.
·
Recognition in
various ShilohZone forums (lists, web site, newsletter).
·
The right to
advertise affiliation with ShilohZone World Class Breeders—World Class
Puppies Program.
·
Access to the Virtual
“Midwife” Program. The
Virtual “Midwife” Program is a virtual support system. We work to “hook”
breeders who desire it up with people who are willing to serve as
friendly voices, shoulders, etc., to people expecting a litter.
People who volunteer for this service make themselves available for late
night phone calls, virtual hand holding, sounding boards, etc. It is NOT
a replacement for veterinarian care and members should not assume any
medical training on the part of Virtual “Midwives.” Breeders are advised
to consult their veterinarian if there is any sign of a problem during a
pregnancy/whelping. The Virtual Midwife program consists of people, some
who are experienced with whelping or birthing other species and some who
are not but want to assist those in need of support. The program is
designed to foster good will and caring and an attitude of “you are not
alone” for new breeders.
·
Access to Virtual
Breeding Scenario Discussions.
These discussions are held to educate breeders and afford
the opportunity to “what if” and analyze “virtual” litters.
Sometimes dogs used are fictional and sometimes dogs will be “real.”
·
Access to the Forms
Library.
Forms are provided for those who
choose to register with generic registries such as ARBA. The library
provides breeders with easy access to important forms such as
Certification of Height and Weight, Detailed Faults and Virtues, Fitness
for Breeding for Overage Bitches, Litter Health Report, Litter Placement
Form, etc., so they can keep good records of their breeding programs.
·
Access to data and
resources.
Members enjoy access to data
collected on this list as well as the ShilohZone. This includes Pundit
Squares and Line Charts. In addition, this list has a bibliography table
in the Database that allows members to share access to books thereby
creating a larger library from which to access information. Members can
submit questions to book owners and expand their knowledge base without
burdening their pocketbook.
·
Assistance with research.
Many hands make an easer
task—members enjoy the opportunity to avail themselves of research
conducted by fellow members. Research is defined as locating information
on the Internet or in publications.
·
The satisfaction of
working with others who are actively involved in protecting and
promoting the Shiloh Shepherd breed.
