ShilohZone Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
1. Memberships after June 21, 2004 will be screened by the List Owner (aka
Zone Ranger). The screening process will consist of two phases. Phase I is
the acknowledgement of and agreement to adhere to three documents: The
ShilohZone Philosophy, The ShilohZone Bill of Rights and the ShilohZone
SOPs. Phase II consists of identification of requesting member and dogs.
All three documents can be found in Files/Zone_FAQs. In the future, Zone
members will be able to vouch for people requesting membership and speed
up the process for them.
2. Zone members who own (or owned) Shiloh Shepherds are required to list
them and whatever data is currently available in the Zone database tables.
This means Zone members are required to post data on past and present
Shilohs even if it is nothing more than the basics (registered name, call
name, DOB, etc.) Data will be crosschecked with OFA and in some cases,
Zoners will be asked to provide copies of reports for verification. You
have the option of sending the data to the Zone Ranger for input
(74452.525@sbcglobal.net).
3. As of June 21, 2004, any current Zone member who owns Shiloh Shepherds
and whose dog or dogs are not listed in the databases will be removed from
the Zone. People who are accepted for membership after June 21, 2004 will
have one week to enter a record in the database on their dog(s) and 30
days to complete all applicable data entry or send the data to me using
the form designated for this (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ShilohZone/files/DATABASE_ISSUES/)
click on Data_Entry_Form.htm
Failure to complete data entry will result in termination of membership.
4. All Zone members are required to update the database tables as new data
becomes available (or send the data to the Zone Ranger). Failure to comply
will result in termination of membership.
5. People interested in being on the Zone who do not have Shiloh Shepherds
can write to me (74452.525@sbcglobal.net) explaining why they want to be on
the Zone (or stay on the Zone) and how they expect to contribute.
6. All Zone members who decide to breed are required to list this
information in the newly created ShilohZone Bitch Book and ShilohZone Stud
Book. Information for these books will only be accepted from owners,
co-owners, or co-breeders involved in the breeding—not from messages
posted to other lists.
7. Zone members who suffer the death of a Shiloh are required to enter the
data in the ShilohZone Departed Book.
8. Failure to comply with any of these rules is grounds for immediate
termination of membership.
9. Data that proves to be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or
fraudulent is grounds for immediate termination of membership.
